Naming Ceremony

Oh, what joy a baby brings!  A naming ceremony is a non-religious ceremony to celebrate the arrival of a new child into a family and into the community.  Family and friends may be invited to participate in the ceremony by lighting candles and offering messages of welcome, poems or readings.  Parents may invite specific special people to hold a supportive role in the child’s life.

What a privilege to plan a final goodbye for a loved one!  A funeral can be a very special occasion.  Emotional, yes, saying goodbye is never easy, but also heart-warming to share and acknowledge how your loved one touched the lives of those left behind.  Sharing the life story of your loved one and memories of him/her can bring great comfort and a sense of community to those present.  

It will be my honour to help you create a ceremony to acknowledge the importance of your loved one in your life and the lives of others.  I will assist you in choosing suitable readings, poetry and music if required.  Together we will create a tribute to your loved one that will be remembered by all present as a beautiful farewell.
